A series of photo-etchings from digital photographs of blind drawing sketchbooks. Each piece was made by asking an artist, curator, or gallerist to choose one double page from approximately 100 sketchbooks of blind drawings. It is a portrait of each individual’s taste and expectations in relation to drawing.
The photo-etching process consists in exposing a positive on a copper plate covered in photo-sensitive emulsion, which acts as a varnish protecting the metal when it is bitten. This documentation presents the varying results of this process.
